I’m a superfan of the traditional Icelandic sweater, or lopapeysa. I like the knitting of lopapeysa, how quickly they come together, and how great—how actually happy—they look on people of every age, size and body type. To wear a lopapeysa is to say to the world “I am wearing a loud patterned sweater and I feel just great about life.” And of course lopapeysa so warm, that unless you live in a very cold climate, these sweaters work as outerwear even in winter.
In my store I offer a unique selection of Icelandic sweaters-mostly trendy and modern, but I also try to offer traditional lopapeysa like Riddari and Marius.
Sweaters only hand knitted by me personally, without seams and knots and only from Icelandic yarn of the highest quality. After production, the sweater is washed and ready to wear.
The sweater comes with a cotton drawstring bag for protecting this sweater while it is "resting" for next day or next season.
